Typical...just when I've created a new profile picture, I have to replace it again. Sigh...

Well, as you can see, I've got a new icon as well. I'll miss the old one. It's served me well the last few years, even if Mystery's eyes were the wrong colour...ah well. Life goes on. Right now I'm busy on RPG Maker XP, making a general parody of the RPG genre. Because I'm awesome.

Man, it's been ages since I posted something that wasn't about Madness Scene Creator...I'm lovin' the freedom ^^ You guys probably aren't, but hang in there...it'll be worth it in the end. I think.

I know it's a bit late, but the winner has been decided! Congratulations to madmadness65! His winning scene is pictured below.

Keep sending me your Madness scenes!

Madness Scene Creator 4: Contest Winner!

Next Saturday, on the 25th September, I celebrate 5 years of NG membership! As a result, that's your deadline for the MMSC4 Scene Contest! As stated before, the winner will be featured in the preloader. There may be other special prizes too...

In the meantime, check out this awesome compilation of MMSC3 scenes!

Go play it now! Oh, and please leave a review. I always love reading them (even the 'THIS IS SHIT!!!! 0!!' ones XD)

EDIT: The Scene Contest has been locked by the admins. Something about admin approval and 'not original art' or something. So just publish them to your drafts page and send me a PM with the link. Sorry for the inconvenience :P

Today's Robot Day (didn't realize), tomorrow's the Game Jam thingy, so MMSC4 will see release next week. Which is technically mid-July, so my estimate of a week ago was bang on target.

I haven't gotten bored of playing MMSC4 yet, and I'm the one who made it. So in theory, you guys will be addicted. And with the reset glitch fixed...I can just imagine people sitting in the dark for 7 hours making endless Madness scenes. Especially with the competition looming.

So, yeah. Next week. Don't touch that dial!

EDIT: Not today, dear.

Having just play-tested MMSC4 for the umpteenth time, I'm glad to say it looks completely finished! I've attached a screenshot that shows what the game currently looks like; the game itself will be released mid-July, providing there are no more problems/last-minute additions.

The scene contest will begin the same day on the BBS. For a prize, I'm thinking the winning scene gets used in the MMSC4 loading screen, various promotional material for the game, and maybe even the 140x90 thumbnail.

One last idea...NG medals?

Finished?

Check my Art submissions. Kinda cool, huh?

Also, I'm still unable to eliminate the reset bug, stop the pieces from resetting AND get the music (now the Consternation theme) to play properly. Solving one problem just causes another. If I can't get these problems ironed out somehow, it'll be a long time before MMSC4 is released.

On a lighter note, what would you guys say to an MMSC4 Scene Contest on the Art Forum after its release? I'd have to think of a prize, but I'd try and make it a good one...what do you think?

With help from XRoadKillX (shout-out to him!), MMSC4 is really starting to take shape. The background changing and mute button now work, and I've also ironed out a few bugs (incorrect layering, not enough feet etc). I may still have to correct the reset glitch, but I'm not too sure.

I'm on holiday 'til Monday, so work will once again be on hold. Sorry I don't have a screenshot for you, I'm leaving pretty much now. So until then, keep waiting '^^

EDIT(03/06/10): I've now fixed the game so it loops indefinitely, but there's now a glitch where certain items will reset to their original positions every time it loops. I'll try and get to the bottom of this.

Finally managed to download Flash Pro 8, so now, I can finally resume work on Madness Scene Creator 4! Fuck yeah!

To prove it, and to show off some of the EXCITING NEW FEATURES, here's a screenshot. Please note, I still have a lot to do; fixing the rotations, working out how to flip objects (if you know how, plz tell me), fixing the mute button 'coz now the sound doesn't work, fixing the backgrounds 'coz they don't work...so yeah. It's still a WIP.

Let me know what you think. Any help/suggestions will be much appreciated.

MMSC4 IS BACK IN PRODUCTION!

A lot's happened recently...I think it's about time I filled you guys in.

First, the bad news. The very bad news. A couple of weeks ago, I got Windows 7. It's awesome. Only problem is, I got a new hard drive as well. I've got back all the files from the old one, but I can't transfer across all the programs. Which includes Flash.

So basically, I don't have Flash anymore. Until I can find it again, MMSC4 looks kinda doomed. Sorry :'(

On the other hand, a guy named XRoadKillX PM'ed me a few days ago with a proposition. He asks that I join him in a collaboration to make the ultimate Madness scene creator. Apparently he needs my organizational skills, which is odd, 'coz I don't have any. You've all been very enthusiastic about the team-up, and having played his latest scene creator (screenshot below), I'm perfectly happy to make it happen. Of course, without Flash, there could be a few problems...we'll see.

Oh, and I joined Facebook on Monday ^^

Collabs and Facebook and Flash, oh my!
